Thirty years of dedication!

COMPANY HISTORY:

1975-  Welex (HK) Trading Co. was founded on the premise of ‘Collaborative Partnership for Excellence’.

1980-  Beginning of a long lasting alliance with Maruzen Chemicals Co. Ltd. (Japan), K.D. Feddersen & Co. (GmBH), SinoChem Corp. (China), Picvue Electronic Corp. (Taiwan) and Formosa Plastic Corporation (Taiwan).

1983-  Sale of Barium Compounds has reached 2500MT per month. Became one of the biggest suppliers of Barium Compounds of the world. Beginning a joint-venture with China National Chemical Construction Corporation (CNCCC) and one of the largest Barium Compounds producers in the world- Hebei Xinji Chemicals Industry Co. Ltd. in a brand new Strontium Carbonate plant.

1985- Welex was incorporated and changed company name to Welex Chemicals Limited.

1987-  Welex acquired a warehouse in New Territory, Hong Kong.

1993-  Beginning of a long-lasting alliance with Landmark Victor (Taiwan) Limited.

1994-  Weltech Glass & Ceramic Material Co. was founded. The first factory fully owned by Welex.

1995-  Hong Kong Flame Seal Products Limited was founded, a joint venture with Houston based Flame Seal Products Inc.- the leading company of the field.

1997-  Hong Kong returned to China. Nature Health Co. Ltd. was founded in Bangkok, a joint venture with Thai R.X. Co. Ltd. Welex began the “Project of Hope” and built the first Welex Primary School in the China hinterland- Xinji, Hebei province. 

1998- Fu Hua Chemical Limited was acquired by Welex. The second factory fully owned by Welex. Joined Xinji municipal council to commence an experimental plantation project of Ginko tree and Echinacea plant for pharmaceutical research.   

2002- Welex moved majority of its operations to Mainland China. Began the Welex Scholarship in Tianjin University chemical engineering faculty. Welex’s office moved to present address. 

2003- Fu Hua obtained ISO9001 certificate. Beginning a partnership with Warwick International. 

2004- Launched the monthly e-newsletter focusing on Chinese Pharmaceutical industry. Beginning an alliance with Wuhan Compr Industries Co. Ltd. to venture into the pharmaceutical market in Middle East and North Africa.

Future- A third Titanium factory and a new Titanium Dioxide research laboratory underway in Guangdon Province, China.
